The power of accountability
We all need accountability for any goals we set out and want to achieve.
Whether these goals are to achieve fat loss, get a promotion in work, quit some bad habits, the last goes on. The reason a lot of you will fail is down to not having accountability.
Every single one of us NEED this to get what we want out of life. The good thing about this is, if you help someone with their accountability and that person helps you with your own accountability then guess what….
You both WIN and achieve your goals.
When you achieve your goals more than likely this is going to make you a lot happier, when happier you are going to have a better chance of setting more goals and keep this whole process going, right?
So where does accountability fit in with your fat loss or muscle gain goals I hear you ask?
Accountability is important to specifically achieving the above goals, and I’m about to explain to you exactly how it all falls into place.
You must be consistent when it comes to achieving a target and a lot of the time, the reason you will fail is down to no accountability. An example of this could be: you are super pumped about starting a new gym and training phase.
You set yourself the goal of going to the gym every Monday, Wednesday & Friday around 5am before work. You manage this for 2 weeks straight. The third week begins and for some reason your alarm hasn’t went off, and you take the advantage of the lie in. You have now decided that training at 5am ain’t for you anymore and you sack it off. You have just failed yourself and failed your targets that you have set out all down to not having a “accountability friend”.
Now let’s say you were meeting a friend at the gym every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 5am. This changes things. If that alarm never went off that one morning then guess who would be calling you at 5:10am giving you a hard time and asking where you were? That’s right your “accountability friend”. Not only have you let yourself down but also your friend who is committed to meeting you at the gym each day.
Guess what else…you will make sure that the alarm goes off next time you are supposed to be at the gym and workout. This meaning that you will still be well on your way alongside your “accountability friend” to achieving the goal you set out for yourselves.
